Bambi traces its beginnings to 1957 with the establishment of a small office equipment shop in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Over the years it has expanded its operations significantly, through the acquisition and cinstruction of several office supplies factories. Today, Bambi is producing Level Arch File, Ring Binders, Computer Files, Magazines Files, Indexes, Quotation Folders, Zipper Pockets, etc.
We had learned early on that expansion provides flexibility to meet ever changing market requirements. Not only has expansion helped to insulate the company from the cyclical fluctuations of the industry, it has also facilitated the development of Bambi into a truly INTERNATIONAL company allowing us to tailor market penetration efforts to the specific opportunities in target countries all over the world.
So from a very humble beginning Bambi has evolved into an industry leader particularly in South East Asia. As Bambi expand its interests and outreach, the company is continuously building from its base of core competencies. The company has taken steps to reinforce and build on its regional market position through the introduction of quality products of marketing initiatives, process and productions improvements as well as investment in new technology. Through these initiatives, Bambi aims to expand its global outreach through focusing on Asia, hence the motto BAMBI=GLOBAL VISION - ASIAN FOCUS.
We have long been believers that the economic growth of Asia would alter basic global trading patterns. While many firms are now preparing themselves for the AFTA, our expansion strategy of investing in a new production facility in Indonesia has already been underway for several years. Today, we have 3 production facilities in Indonesia and Singapore. We are actively pusing expansion project in Indonesia and other strategic initiatives in Singapore.
On the marketing side, we have always viewed South East Asia as our home market, having established significant shares in Singapore, Thailand, Philippine, Australia, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, and Hong Kong in addition to our leading position in Indonesia.
